The Jaunt: Residency and Print
April 2023

The Jaunt allows artists to travel the world and find a lasting inspiration that potentially permeates their creative process. The concept is simple: send an artist on a trip to find inspiration. While the artist is on the road, they make their own plans and document their impressions in a travel blog which gives even more insight into the artist’s perspective.

Destination: The Coast Starlight Train

By all accounts a pretty epic train ride up the West Coast of the United States From Los Angeles to Seattle, with special observatory carriages on the train. While the last part from Seattle to Vancouver is technically not part of the Coast Starlight Train, it does perhaps provide the most scenic scenes while driving right by the coast line on its way up to Canada.

The Alley Fellowship: Reshape | A+D Museum
June 2019

The Alley Fellowship supports the collaboration between architects and artists in order to extend the spectrum of work and artists the A+D showcases. The third exhibit in the series, Reshape, features the installation art of Adrian Kay Wong.

In Reshape, artist Adrian Kay Wong strips visual representation of its power by stretching, compacting, exaggerating, and reorganizing forms that structure environments. Taking the influence buildings and public spaces have beyond their physical entity as his focus, Wong explores the visual translation of real-world settings to painted surface.

#Talk Therapy | Two Chairs x Adrian Kay Wong
2019

A Series of commission prints for the Two Chairs Art Program.

“Shared experience is a powerful thing. Through our Two Chairs Art Program, we bring this idea to the forefront of our physical spaces by elevating local artists whose mental health journeys have been integral to the formation of their creative processes. These collaborations offer yet another perspective and example of how uniquely mental health can figure into one’s personal journey, while also bringing new, beautiful, and diverse viewpoints into the decor of our clinics.”
